Grounding is to connect some parts of electrical equipment and a certain point of the power system to the earth, provide a leakage channel for fault current and lightning current, stabilize the potential, and provide a zero potential reference point to ensure the normal operation of electronic and electrical equipment and personal safety.
Grounding devices can be divided into the following four types according to their functions:
(1) Work grounding. Due to the needs of operation, the equipment in the power system is connected to the earth metal directly or through arc suppression coils, reactors, resistors, etc.
(2) Protective grounding. Protective grounding is to connect the metal casing of the electrical equipment to the grounding device. It is installed to prevent the insulation of the equipment from being damaged and the shell being electrified to endanger personal safety and equipment safety.
(3) Lightning protection grounding. The lightning protection grounding is the grounding placed for the lightning protection device to discharge current to the earth.
(4) Anti-static grounding. Anti-static grounding is a grounding set up to prevent static electricity from causing dangerous effects on flammable oil, natural gas storage tanks and pipelines, and to discharge static charges.
Morotack can provide a variety of carbon brushes for grounding systems, and its main material is metallic graphite.
The grounding carbon brush material is pressed and fired from purified graphite and metal powder (copper, silver, etc.), so that it has the required stability and firmness.
Application of grounding brush:
electric locomotive
diesel locomotive
Wind power equipment (generators, surge protection)
hydroelectric power plant
Packaging industry
Ports and Shipping
In addition to carbon brushes for grounding, we can also produce brush holders for various grounding devices. If you have needs, welcome to send us inquiries and drawings, we will do our best to quote for you.
